In a multi-unit building in Höringen, the smoke detectors had gone off, prompting a call to the fire department. The person who made the call reported that no fire or smoke was visible at the time of the call and that the building had already been evacuated. The fire departments from Höringen, Gehrweiler, and Winnweiler then responded to the scene.
By the time the emergency responders arrived on the scene, the smoke alarms were no longer beeping. Nevertheless, all rooms were checked, but nothing was found. Subsequently, the municipal maintenance department was notified to check all the detectors for proper functioning. Afterward, the firefighters were able to conclude their operation.
