A paraglider landed in a tree on the Donnersberg. To rescue the person and provide medical care if necessary, the Kirchheimbolanden Fire Department, the high-altitude rescue team from the Kaiserslautern Professional Fire Department, and the Red Cross were called to the scene. The drone unit stationed in Winnweiler assisted with the operation to help with the search if necessary.
The pilot was quickly located; he was hanging in his harness at a height of about 15 meters and appeared to be uninjured. With the help of the fire department, the pilot was freed from his position. It was not necessary to deploy the drone.
