During a medical emergency in Imsbach, the ambulance service called in the fire department to help gently transport the patient into the ambulance.

Due to limited space in the apartment, the patient had to be rescued through the window. However, since there was no space to set up the turntable ladder, it could not be used for the rescue. Consequently, the emergency responders used several sections of a stepladder to create an “inclined plane” and rescued the patient using a basket stretcher. He was then placed in the ambulance and transported to an appropriate hospital.

In addition to the emergency medical transport vehicle (RTW) and the Imsbach and Winnweiler fire departments, a patient transport vehicle (KTW) and an emergency physician response vehicle (NEF) were also on the scene.
