An accident involving two passenger cars occurred on the B 48 near the Winnweiler passenger parking lot. The fire department assisted emergency medical services in assessing the four occupants and secured the scene by completely closing the road to traffic to ensure safe working conditions. After all the individuals had been attended to, leaking fluids were cleaned up to prevent widespread contamination of the roadway and the grassy shoulders.
Fortunately, none of the occupants were injured, or only sustained minor injuries. The B 48 remained closed until the wreckage was removed and the roadway was cleaned.
