A rear-end collision occurred on the A 63, in which a small van rear-ended a passenger car that was parked on the shoulder. As a result of the collision, both vehicles were severely damaged. By the time emergency medical services and the fire department arrived, all occupants had already exited their vehicles and could therefore be examined.
The fire department secured the scene from passing traffic and assisted the emergency medical services in their work. One person sustained minor injuries; the other was unharmed.
As the operation continued, the towing company was also assisted in recovering the vehicles quickly and safely. The police, who had been called to the scene, documented the accident and were also informed that a vehicle had been using the emergency lane to get ahead more quickly. The police stopped this vehicle, recorded the driver’s information, and initiated administrative proceedings for the violation. The driver is expected to face a fine of 240 euros, two points on his license, and a one-month driving ban.
