The Imsbach and Winnweiler fire departments were called to a construction site to assist emergency medical services following a fall from a significant height. Upon arrival, it turned out that the person had fallen one story.
In addition to an ambulance, a rescue helicopter staffed by an emergency physician was also dispatched. The patient received medical care at the scene until she was stable enough for transport and was then flown by the rescue helicopter to an appropriate hospital. Fire department personnel assisted with medical care and with transporting the patient to the rescue helicopter.
