Report
Measures were taken early on in response to the reported snowfall and icy conditions. The weather conditions were closely monitored as early as one day before the event. In addition, snow chains were installed on all fire trucks, the command center was prepared, staff availability was checked, and coordination took place with the surrounding municipalities and the Donnersberg district. Fortunately, however, no major operations were required.
A traffic accident occurred on the BAB 63 (see H 031), resulting in two people sustaining minor injuries. However, it is important to remember that fire departments must be prepared to respond to all types of emergencies at any time, even under adverse weather conditions.
