The police called the fire department to secure a heavily iced-over section of the K 37 road between Falkenstein and Merzauerhof.
Due to the heavy rainfall over the past few days, water on the roadway had frozen over a length of approximately 30 meters, reaching a thickness of up to 5 centimeters. The Marienthal Fire Department secured the area from the north, while the Imsbach and Falkenstein Fire Departments secured it from the south, until the road maintenance department arrived with a salt spreader and cleared the icy patch.
