Due to rising water levels and the expectation of further rainfall, the parking lot under the bridge at the Winnweiler train station was cleared of vehicles.
This was done in part with the help of the police, who identified and notified the vehicle owners. All vehicles were removed by their drivers.
The parking lot was closed to further use because flooding was expected in the coming hours or days. However, during the night, a driver removed the barrier and parked his vehicle in the lot. He was identified by the police, and the vehicle was towed away.
