The fire department was called to a kitchen fire in Winnweiler where oil had caught fire and could not be extinguished by the occupants. Upon arrival, the responding crews found no signs of fire at the scene. An inspection using a thermal imaging camera showed that the cooktop no longer posed a danger. As a result, the crews from Winnweiler were able to conclude their operation.
