Late in the evening over the weekend, a smoke alarm went off at the kindergarten in Lohnsfeld. Upon arrival, the alarm was confirmed: a fuse box in the boiler room had become extremely hot. The power to the fuse box was shut off, and the surrounding components were checked for heat.

Thanks to the smoke alarm and the quick response, the fire was prevented from spreading, an open fire was avoided, and costly consequential damage was prevented.
