Early Wednesday morning, smoke began to billow from a building due to food that had burned on a stove. Consequently, the Winnweiler Fire Department responded to the scene with a rescue fire engine (HLF 1), a turntable ladder (DLK), and a tanker fire engine (TLF). Once on the scene, it quickly became clear that no major firefighting measures were necessary; the firefighters simply ventilated the building.
In addition, emergency medical services were on the scene to assist the resident, as were the police.
